Night Shift Caper
Title sequence · 16:9
Film-noir opening titles for a fictional detective film. A cigarette plume, a real 2-D fluid simulation pre-computed in the browser, curls through venetian-blind light and is cut into glowing slices while passing headlights cross-hatch the room. The blind shadows level out into the slats themselves, which snap open onto a rain-soaked street. A car tears past, a match flares on a profile, lightning blasts through the blinds, and a red neon RAIN stutters on over the title. The jazz cue is written in code too: walking upright bass, brushes, a Rhodes and an FM synth-sax over rain.
A 15-second film-noir title sequence where real fluid-simulated cigarette smoke is sliced into glowing bands by venetian-blind light. Every frame and every note is written in code.
