Reef is a world you drag around rather than a page you scroll: a Spanish galleon three hundred years down, listing in the silt at 22 metres, and the reef that took her in. Caustics dance over the sand and the hull, the water absorbs red before blue, god rays slant down from Snell's window overhead, two schools of fish flock round the wreck and part round your cursor, and a manta glides past with its shadow on the sand. Every coral, fan, kelp blade and fish is generated in code; the wreck, manta and props are hosted Draco models and the sand is three hosted textures. Built in HTML and Three.js, one file, no build step.
